The Doctor's Wife by Elizabeth Brundage
So, now I'm reading The Doctor's Wife by Elizabeth Brundage. It's a psychological thriller about Michael, a doctor in a small town in upstate New York who moonlights in an abortion clinic. In turn, some religious zealots nearby have begun threatening and following him until, finally, it comes to a head. His wife, Annie, has grown tired of her husband's long hours and thus neglect and has had an affair with a nearby artist, Simon Haas. Simon is married to a very disturbed woman, Lydia, who seems to steal the show in the novel. I'm only a 100 or so pages in and already, it's keeping me on the edge of my seat.
